These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Lingual, a live multilingual captioning and translation service for church services (“Service”) operated by Sincera Works LLC, a Washington limited liability company (“we,” “us,” “our”). By creating an account or using Lingual, you agree to these Terms.
Lingual is built for churches and ministry organizations. You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to bind the organization you represent when signing up on its behalf.
Lingual is in active development (“Beta”). During Beta:
You sign up via email or by connecting your Planning Center account. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at hello@lingual.services right away if you suspect unauthorized use.
You agree not to use Lingual to:

lingual.services — or connect any custom domain you do
not own and control.Custom domains. If you connect your own domain to the Service, you remain responsible for maintaining ownership of that domain and its DNS configuration. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to take down and revoke any custom-domain mapping — including where you lose control of the domain, your subscription churns or downgrades below the plan that includes custom domains, the domain is used abusively, or the name is confusingly similar to ours. Revocation stops the domain from routing to the Service; see §12 (Termination).
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these rules. For serious violations we may report you to relevant authorities.
When you use Lingual during a live service:
You retain all rights to your content. You grant us a worldwide, royalty- free license to process your content as needed to provide the Service to you and your congregation.
Lingual relies on these third parties to deliver the Service. Your use of Lingual is also subject to their terms:
We choose providers that align with our commitment to not training AI models on customer data. We do not sell your data to anyone.
How we collect and use personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Lingual, including its source code, brand, design, and underlying technology (excluding your content) is owned by Sincera Works LLC. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or proprietary materials.
Lingual produces captions and translations using artificial intelligence. AI output can contain errors, including but not limited to mistranscribed words, mistranslated phrases, missing context, and occasional hallucinated content (words the speaker did not actually say). Do not rely on Lingual for safety-critical, medical, legal, or otherwise consequential communications. The Service is intended as a communication aid for non-English-speaking congregants, not as an authoritative transcript of a service or sermon.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OF CAPTIONS OR TRANSLATIONS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR (B) THE FEES YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sincera Works LLC, its officers, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms; (b) content you input, distribute, or publish through the Service; or (c) your violation of applicable law.
Either party can terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason. Upon termination:
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, except that either party may bring a claim in small-claims court where eligible.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at the address associated with your account at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

We offer a Better Translation Guarantee as a limited promotional remedy. In short: try one complete service, and if a direct live church-translation competitor clearly produces a materially better live translation of the same service audio, you may choose a refund of the fees you paid in the prior 90 days or 12 months of Lingual service credit. Full eligibility, adjudication, and remedy terms are on the Better Translation Guarantee page.
This guarantee is a promotional remedy, not a warranty. It does not modify the caption and translation accuracy disclaimer in §9, and it does not expand the limitation of liability in §10. The refund-or-credit choice described on the guarantee page is the entire remedy available under the guarantee.
